What’s osteopathy?

Osteopaths are Musculoskeletal specialists, meaning we help people manage a large variety of conditions ranging from osteoarthritis to tennis elbow. We start by understanding your goals, then put together a tailored plan that can include hands-on treatment, rehab and exercise programmes, lifestyle advice, and, where appropriate, techniques like shockwave therapy, dry needling, or referral.

Although people often visit us when they are in pain, we love to help people avoid injury, maintain their health and reach their goals. This is why osteopathy is becoming increasingly popular within professional golf! As a county golfer with degrees in Psychology, Performance Science and Osteopathy, I’m here to guide you towards your golfing goals, no matter how big or small, and keep you strong, mobile and golfing pain free!

Warm-up!

Why Warm-up?

A simple dynamic workout aimed at increasing blood flow and priming your golfing muscles can help you start your round well. With some studies suggesting It can increase golf performance and prevent injury.

Golf osteopaths can create custom warmups to suit your needs.

Mobility

Why is mobility important?

Mobility is key not just for gaining those extra yards off the tee, but for preventing pain and injury during golf. Reduced mobility in the hips and upper back can often lead to compensations and pain in other areas, commonly the lower back.

Adaptability

What if I have some restrictions I can’t change?

Our bodies are unique, but my aim is for everyone to be able to enjoy golf. Getting creative with bespoke treatment, strengthening plans, or even advice to adapt how you play is one of my favourite things to do as an osteopath. Helping you get to your golfing goals!
