We have just been out to shoot the Summer 2027 collection, crazy I know but that's how far ahead we need to be and we thought it would be interesting to find out what our photo shoots are actually like!
Our greatest challenge is the great British weather so we are very blessed that our models and photographers are part of the team so we can be really responsive to good weather and if the suns out, we are out! In fact our main model Izzy is also head of production and makes sure all the important details in the range are adhered to and everything arrives on time. If you know Pure Golf you would definitely recognize Izzy! Oliver our photographer not only has a Masters in photography but also manages the whole production department. Our other model Amy is a whizz at videography and creates all of the video content you see alongside Ellis, who also takes all the studio photography and designs the brochures. Gemma our pop-up manager is also Middlesex County Champion, so we are guaranteed some great golf video! I have the most important jobs of all though - holding the sun diffuser and buying the lunch!
We like to get a good variety of photo styles and there will always be a good few of the flag! Poor Izzy never gets to just have a coffee, she always has to have her picture taken drinking it first!
We have a lot of fun on a shoot, it is always well ahead of the new range being released and the first time we get to see the collection being worn on the golf course. As the design team to we all enjoy it so much.
We are so blessed to have such generous golf clubs that allow us to do photo shoots including my own Club Verulam in St Albans plus Batchwood in St Albans, Moor Park, Stanmore and this year, Leighton Buzzard Golf Club who have been incredibly kind letting us return for multiple days to get the shots we need. As the design team it's also lovely being out on the course and spotting ladies in their Pure Golf outfits, it's always such a buzz! At Surprizeshop we love a bit of dappled light so are often out early to capture the early morning sun.
It really is not as glamorous as it sounds and many a time Izzy has had to get changed in a pop up tent so we love the luxury of being able to shoot near the clubhouse for the changing facilities.
I believe the craziest part of our photo shoots is actually how many photos get taken. Combined with the model shoot in the studio they really do rack up. In fact we thought it would be fun to guess so the person who makes the closest guess will win some Surprizeshop goodies!
